Planting is nearing completion with just the bigger growers still bashing away. The very dry conditions mean that the heavier soils are now needing a lot of work.
Recent frosts have caused some damage in early areas and cool temperatures may mean that we won’t see any Marfona hitting the market until the third week of July.
We have finished planting our two trial plots at Jack Buck Farms and HA Overton.
We intend to hold the variety / summer technical meeting at Jack Buck’s at the end of July. There will be variety samples to look at from both trial sites.
