The main event in July was the rain that finally arrived to give some very parched crops in this area a much needed drink.
With 65mm recorded at the office in the week from the 25th of July it will be fascinating to see what affect it has.
We held our variety trial meeting on the 29th of July at Messrs GH Hoyles. We were very pleased with the turn out and would like to thank David for playing host this year.
We also had a replica plot at Messrs EF Harrold in Norfolk and we had samples from both plots on display along with some samples from commercial sized plots of other varieties.
Charlotte Rodwell has started work this week and will be with us for the storage survey. She is learning her way round but is available to do dry matter testing.
